Description: The Bureau of Nonpoint Pollution Control within the Division of Water Quality issues NJPDES general permits authorizing discharges from Tier A and Tier B municipalities, as well as public complexes, and highway agencies that discharge stormwater from Municipal Separate Storm Sewer Systems (MS4s). As a required in Part IV.C.1&2 of the MS4 permit issued in 2017, permittees are required to develop, update, and maintain an inventory and map of, at a minimum, stormwater facilities identified in Part IV.C.1.b and located within the municipality. The inventory and map is required to include outfall pipes, stormwater management basins, subsurface infiltration/detention systems, manufactured treatment devices (MTDs), and green infrastructure.
